Banana Bread (Dairy, Egg, Nut free)

Who is ready for a dairy, egg and nut free banana bread that will NOT disappoint? This is the perfect snack to get your kids involved in making as well. Oh, and your house... it's gonna smell UH-MAZING!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 1/2 C flour (I like to use 3/4 C whole wheat, 3/4 C white)

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt (can leave out salt if using a salty "butter")

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 3 ripe bananas

  • 4 Tbsp dairy-free butter

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 cup applesauce

  • Optional- 1/2 C or less of dairy-free chocolate-chips (Just mix in after you’ve mixed all ingredients. Can sprinkle some extra on top as well)

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  • Mix together flour, baking soda, salt and sugar

  • In a separate bowl, mash up bananas. Mix in dairy-free butter, vanilla and applesauce

  • Mix banana mixture into dry ingredients and pour batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake for around 45 minutes until your toothpick comes out clean

That's it! The perfect kid-friendly activity and the perfect thing to do with those bananas you were about to throw in the trash ;)
