Green Monster Smoothie (Free of the top 8 allergens & more!)
Is this anything better in the summer than a smoothie? Heck, smoothies are great for anytime of the year! My kids are literally OBSESSED and they have no idea they are drinking their fruits and veggies. It's pretty much the greatest thing EVER.
One thing I love about smoothies is there's no need to be exact with measurements. Feel free to change this up depending on whatever you currently have at your house & in your freezer!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- 2-3 large handfuls of frozen fruit (I like to use lighter colored ones so it'll help bring the green color out once you add the spinach)
- 2-3 large handfuls of spinach <--- see what I mean, no exact measurements needed
- 8 oz of coconut water
- In a blender, throw together the frozen fruit, spinach and coconut water. This would also be a great time to add anything else you might have on hand like banana, blueberries, avocado etc.
- Let it sit for around 10 minutes so the fruit can thaw out a little.
- Blend and enjoy!
Oh, and if your smoothie turns out a hideous brown color, just tell your kids that it's the muddy monster smoothie, Works every time!
